The Eilat stone is the National stone of Israel and derives its name from Israel’s southernmost city, where centuries ago it was discovered and mined in the Sinai Peninsula near the Red Sea. These beautiful stones have existed in that location since the Bronze age and were mined under the supervision of King Solomon, hence they are also referred to as the King Solomon stone.

The stone is made up of many of the well known copper based minerals including Azurite, Chrysocolla, Turquoise and Malachite, known for their healing properties and their beautiful deep shades of blue and green.
